WOOD BLINDS

The Comfortex Wood Blind Collection is anything but ordinary. Woodwinds and Aria are a great alternative to real wood blinds. They are made from a revolutionary combination of hardwood and man-made materials for unmatched durability. Designed to withstand the rigors of everyday living, as well as hot and humid environments, Woodwinds and Aria resist warping cracking, chipping and fading. Newport Woods Basswood Blinds complement existing flooring, furniture, cabinetry and trim to create a warm, seamless look. This collection includes multiple slat sizes with richly stained and painted finishes, as well as decorative tape and valance options.

Decorative Options

  • Decorative Valance: This 3″ valance is a simple yet elegant valance that is standard with all Smooth and Rustic finish blinds. This profile is available with decorative tape.

  • Rounded Corners: Choose rounded corners on the edges of the slats for a softer look on your blind.

  • Motorized Blinds: Somfy motors eliminate the need for tilt cords and allow for easy tilt control at the touch of a button.Tilt motors and cordless hardware may be combined to eliminate all cords for superior convenience, function and safety.

  • Cordless Option: Newport Woods Basswood Blinds are available with a Cordless hardware system for maximum versatility and easy operation.

  • Cordless Lift & Lock™ Option: Newport Woods Basswood Blinds are available with Cordless Lift & Lock™ hardware system. Cordless Lift & Lock blinds can be raised and lowered by pressing the button located in the bottom rail and guiding the rail into the desired location.

Slat Styles

Newport Woods Blinds are offered with three slat styles:

  • 1-3/8″ – An ideal fit for small windows and French doors

  • 2″ – A traditional and versatile slat width

  • 2-3/8″ – A larger slat which provides broader, bolder view of the outdoors

CLEANING AND CARE

​​Wood Blinds should be dusted regularly. Use an ordinary soft, clean cloth, chemically-treated dust cloth, dusting mitt, vacuum cleaner with brush attachment or cylindrical dust brushes especially designed for blinds. Lower the blind to its full length, then tilt the slats almost fully closed and dust. Then do the reverse side of the slats in the same manner. In order to reach the dust where the slats overlap, it is best not to fully close the blind in either position.
